Three measurements, three distinct problems.

Each answers one question and ends with its own report. Taking one does not commit you to the others.

PowerCheck

Power quality measurement

Why does my electricity cost this much, and why is my equipment wearing out?

We record the electrical behaviour of the site with a network analyser and locate the source of the distortion. Measurement duration follows the objective; for a load profile to mean anything, the instrument usually stays on site for one to two weeks.

What we measure

  • Total harmonic distortion and harmonic spectrum
  • Voltage dips, swells and interruptions
  • Transient events
  • Phase imbalance and neutral current
  • Power factor and reactive energy consumption
  • Load profile and demand curve

What the report contains

Measured values, the limits they are compared against, the source of the distortion, its effect on equipment, and the available options. Methodology follows the current edition of IEC 61000-4-30.

Where we stop

Our instrument does not replace the revenue meter your bill is based on, and does not invalidate its readings. We investigate the technical cause behind what you are being charged.

AirScan

Compressed air leak detection

Why is my compressor running all the time?

We walk the site with an ultrasonic detector and locate leaks in the compressed air network. Production does not stop; the survey is done while the plant runs and is usually completed in a single visit.

What we measure

  • Detection and location of every leak point
  • Photograph and tag for each leak
  • Estimated loss, by the method the instrument supports
  • Ranking by repair priority
  • Assessment of line pressure and compressor duty cycle

What the report contains

A numbered leak register with location, photograph and estimated annual loss for each, ordered by repair priority, with an estimate of total recoverable loss.

Where we stop

Loss figures are always estimates, and the calculation method and assumptions are stated openly in the report. Ultrasonic results are affected by distance, line pressure and ambient noise.

BatteryCheck

UPS and critical battery health testing

If the power drops, will my backup actually carry the load?

We test UPS and DC system batteries cell by cell. The point is to show how much capacity a string really holds, rather than what its nameplate says.

What we measure

  • Cell voltage and imbalance across the string
  • Internal resistance measurement and trend assessment
  • Temperature distribution and terminal connection condition
  • Ageing and replacement priority
  • Review of charger behaviour

What the report contains

A cell-level table, weak and critical cells flagged, estimated remaining life of the string, and replacement priority.

Where we stop

On critical systems the test plan is agreed in advance. Scope, timing and fallback arrangements are confirmed in writing before any site work begins.

Not sure which one applies to you?

Describe the problem that keeps recurring at your site. We'll tell you which measurement would help and which would be a waste of money.
